Biomicroscopy II

The course builds on Biomicroscopy I and combines theory of different microscopy techniques with hands-on experiments on the state-of-the-art microscopes at EPFL BioImaging and Optics Facility (BIOP). The goal of the course is to teach how to use commonly used optical microscopy techniques including brightfield,  dark-field, phase-contrast, DIC, fluorescence as well as introduce advanced fluorescence microscopy techniques such as confocal, super-resolution and multi-photon.
