Information about the written exam

INFORMATION ABOUT THE EXAM:

Dear Students,

The written exam will take place on June 25th in the computer room BC07-08 from 15:15 to 17:45 (2.5 hours).

You are allowed to bring one A4 handwritten paper containing notes. You may write on both sides.

The exam will be comprised of problems related to both the lectures as well as the exercise classes.

The exam will also contain Python exercises. Hence, each student will receive a computer with Python installed (Spyder IDE and all dependencies will be preinstalled).

We have uploaded some practice material (see the Mock exams folder above).

Good luck with the preparation and see you at the exam.

Week 1: 17 February - 23 February

No exercises session this week.

Week 2: 24 February - 2 March

Exercise 3 has been changed to a bonus exercise, as 2D problems have not yet been discussed in class.

Week 3: 3 March - 9 March

Week 4: 10 March - 16 March

Week 5: 17 March - 23 March

Week 6: 24 March - 30 March

Week 7: 31 March - 6 April

Week 8: 7 April - 13 April

There will be no exercise session this week. The exercise sheet for this week is for you to solve at home. Exercise 1 is important to do, as it will be revisited in the next exercises sheet. Exercise 2 is more challenging; try to solve it and come back to us if you have any questions.

Reminder: you have an additional lecture on Thursday instead of the exercises session.

Week 9: 14 April - 20 April

Spring break

Week 10: 28 April - 4 May

Week 11: 5 May - 11 May

There will be no exercise session this week. Instead, the session will be dedicated to answering your questions about the mini-projects.

Week 12: 12 May - 18 May

Week 13: 19 May - 25 May

(OLD) Week 01

Topics: introduction, Linear elliptic PDEs of second order, function spaces.

(OLD) Week 02

(OLD) Week 03

(OLD) Week 04

This week's exercise sheet is now available.

The first exercise of this week's exercise sheet is complementary to this week's course content.

Please focus on exercises 2 and 3 and only consider 1 in case you have time to spare / are unchallenged by the other two.

(OLD) Week 05

Exercise sheet of session 5 is now available.
