This session explores the crucial link between sustainability goals and the tracking indicators used to measure progress. Indicators will be presented as essential tools for understanding the current status quo and for comparing it against desired future states. Students will understand the role of indicators in monitoring and evaluating inclusive climate actions. You will learn to apply an equity lens when selecting and critiquing different metrics and will practice prioritizing and designing indicators specifically relevant to your City Lab project. The exercise will support the data collection phase for your city case (Step 2).
