Welcome to Advanced Composites in Engineering Structures course!

This site will be used to upload course materials, useful information and provide a forum to discuss course related matters among the teachers and students in an online environment.

Please feel free to post your questions on the course and your project and participate in the discussion forums as appropriate.

We look forward for an interactive course delivery via this medium to enhance your understanding of composites in engineering structures!  

The course will be given on site (in person). 

The lecture notes are provided on moodle before each class- starting from next week. 

Week 3 - Mechanics of composites

Today we need to decide the project titles! Get ready with proposals.

Mid term discussion 

No lecture this week - we shall all meet at BP 2122 to discuss your projects.

Composite Manufacturing Session (15/22/11) 

The first group will arrive on Friday 15.11 at 10:15 (Entrance in GC G0 604 building ONLY from the door across the EPFL Metro – see map below). 

The first session will end at around 11:00. Next group should arrive at 11:15. 

The same schedule for the week after for groups 3 and 4.

Composite Manufacturing Session (14/11 and 21/11) 

Select ONLY ONE SESSION - MAX 10 persons per session. If one slot has already 10 participants select another one! 

The first group will arrive on Friday 14.11 at 10:15 (Entrance in GC G0 604 building ONLY from the door across the EPFL Metro – see map below). 

The first session will end at around 11:00. Next group should arrive at 11:15. 

The same schedule for the week after (Friday 21.11) for groups 3 and 4.

Composite Manufacturing Session II (21/11) 

The first group will arrive on Friday 21.11 at 10:15 (Entrance in GC G0 604 building ONLY from the door across the EPFL Metro – see map below). 

The first session will end at around 11:00. Next group should arrive at 11:15. 

Week 11 - Composite Testing 

Three groups - 

The first group will come at 10:00am 

The second group will come at 10:45am 

The third group will come at 11:30am
