The course is divided into five sections:

1.Introduction and Review
•Review of reaction kinetics, transition state theory, quasi steady stat assumption
•Basic types of chemical reactors and its characteristics.
2.Non-ideal flow in chemical reactors
•Residence time distribution in continuously operated reactors
•Modelling non-ideal reactors
3.Heterogeneous fluid/solid catalyst
•Kinetics of elementary steps
•Experimental reactors and modeling of overall kinetics
4.Influence of transport phenomena on rates of heterogeneous reactions
•External and internal transport effects
•Criteria for estimating the influence of transport processes on kinetics
5.Fluid/Fluid reactions
•Importance and basic concepts
•Mass transfer and chemical reactions in fluid/fluid systems
