Description

This module treats various methods of solving non-linear equations, such as Newton-Raphson, Chord etc.

At the end of this module, you should be able to explain:

    • Type of equations: implicit/explicit
    • Newton-Raphson method
    • Chord method
    • Wegstein method
    • Numerical calculation of derivatives
    • Convergence criteria and relaxation
    • Extension to n-dimensional system of equations
    • Rubin method
