Task 3.6: Preparing Your Mini Lesson

Description


1. Choose some quantitative data that is interesting or important to you. 

Your mini lesson should be built around 1-2 specific learning outcomes, and include both active learning and formative feedback. Use the lesson planning matrix (same as for Day 3) to ensure that you plan for significant cognitive engagement on the part of your learners.

 

2. Use visualisations/diagrams to support your learning objectives.

3. Design this lesson for a general audience, if possible. (General audience - think of your hair dresser AND your friend with a PhD in ancient Greek - use the videos below for inspiration).
