This is the web site of the ENG-618 doctoral school on biomass conversion.

The goal of the lecture is to introduce the different facets of the use of biomass as an energy resource. 

At the end of the lecture, the students will be able to answer the following question :

" Import or local : what are the best biomass options for the Swiss transportation sector"

The course is organised over 5 days as online lectures and one project.

Each day, a set of pre-recorded lectures is provided and a specific project objective is addressed. Exchange session with the professors concerning the lectures and the project in breakout rooms are proposed every day from 16:00 to 18:00 Swiss Time.

How is the course graded ?

The course is graded based on a project report you will submit after the end of the project.

You have therefore to enrol in a group (use the following document). Once the group is created you will receive a template document in overleaf to write your report. 

Do not forget to fill this document to let us know better who you are and the group you belong to.
