9 September - 15 September

In this week's lecture, we will i) introduce system monitoring and ITS, ii) introduce Macroscopic Fundamental Diagrams (MFD), iii) review some parts of the traffic engineering class.

The lecture will be followed by a 2-hour exercise session on shockwave theory.

Please make sure to download the lectures because opening them in the browser might cause issues to some!



16 September - 22 September

This is a MOOC lecture. Students are requested to watch the following videos: 2.1, 2.2 and 2.3.

Class will meet on Sept. 18 at 14:15 to answer any questions from the videos and solve the exercise.

This week's lecture on 'Optimization of multi-modal and multi-purpose transport and logistics systems' will be given by Dr. Patrick Stokkink. 



2 December - 8 December

This week's lecture is on bus bunching. During the 2nd hour, the two groups will present lab 1 to the rest of the class. 


9 December - 15 December

This week's lecture on Adaptive traffic signal control will be given by Dr. Jack Haddad. The exercise session will begin at 15:15.
