Description

Theory

Content: overview of the different classes of Finite Elements in solid mechanics. 
Goal: understand the differences between each class of FE; be able to choose the most appropriate type of element for a given problem.

Tutorials

Content: two tutorials about Plane Strain and Axisymmetric modeling.
Goal: be able to construct 2D and axisymmetric models.

Exercises

Topic: two exercises about 2D (plane stress & plane strain) and axisymmetric models.
Goal: compare 2D and 3D FE results.

Mini-project

Finish your project specifications (cahier des charges), and submit it through Moodle or by email.
