SUSTAINABILITY, CLIMATE AND ENERGY
Tuesdays :
- 8h00 - 11h00 : Lecture (GRA331)
- 13h00 - 15h00 : Exercises (DIA005)
Instructors : Prof. Jérôme Chappellaz and Dr. Jonas Schnidrig
This is the first semester when this new class is given. We will welcome suggestions and comments for improvement, during surveys but also during informal discussions.
USEFUL INFORMATION
- For each week, you will find the slides on the Moodle.
- Lectures will be recorded in case you cannot attend the class.
- Exercises are not graded. Solutions will be made available in the Exercises slides after each corresponding session.
- The project to be handled from Week 12 to Week 14 will be a group project. It will lead to a poster presentation by each group during Week 14.
- We plan a field visit in Valais on Week 10 or Week 11 (depending on weather), at an altitude of about 1800 m. We will get on site by bus from the EPFL campus at Ecublens and there will be a little bit of walking. If you have any restriction to take part to the trip, please inform the instructors beforehand.
EXAM INFORMATION AND GRADING
- Evaluation during the Exercise session of Week 5 : will count for 20% (see March 18th for more explanations)
- Presentation of your group project as an evaluated poster, on Week 14 : will count for 30%
- Exam session between 16 June and 5 July : will count for 50%
