Description
MID-TERM EXAM
- The
exam will consist of a mix of true/false questions, short answer
questions and problems to be answered individually by each
student.
- The problems can be on all the material up to lecture 7 included.
- The exam is closed-book. All lengthy formulas needed will be provided in the text. Knowledge of basic formulas and ability to manage them and make simple derivations (as done in class) is required.
- We will regularly meet at 14:15. At 14:30 the exam will be made available.
- The exam will last 1 hour.
- Students should hand in a hand-written tidy document.
- Students can write in English of French.
- Bring a calculator.
- Bring your CAMIPRO card.
3-MINUTE PROJECT PITCHES
Each group should prepare 3 slides with the following content:
Slide 1. (Provisional) Title of project + Research question that the project intends to answer.
Slide 2. Methodology: what model will you use? What simulations or analysis do you plan to perform?
Slide 3. Risk management: what major difficulties do you expect in carrying out the project? How do you plan to overcome them?
Each group should prepare 3 slides with the following content:

Slide 3. Risk management: what major difficulties do you expect in carrying out the project? How do you plan to overcome them?
Be prepared to present these slides in class (max 3 minutes per group). These presentations will not be graded but are intended as an opportunity to present your research idea for the project and get feedback on its feasibility and the envisioned methodology by the instructors.
