This part of the lecture deals with practical aspects of HMM-based ASR, such as, Viterbi algorithm in HMMs as probabilistic symbol matching using dynamic programming, context-independent and context-dependent phones, three state modeling of phones, clustered context-dependent units, and finally decoding as a graph search problem.
