Template Report 1

Description
To document your work during the first part of the course project, a template for Report 1 (zipped file) is provided and it is meant to be used in Overleaf (online LaTeX editor for which EPFL provides accounts for students). Download the file containing the report template, open and log into Overleaf, upload the provided report and share the link to it with your project partner. In this way you will both be able to edit the same report. Once the report is completed, submit a PDF version of it back to Moodle.
How to install the EE-365 Report template in Overleaf:
- Register and log in to overleaf.com . The service is free and if you use your EPFL email address, some paid functions are available, too.
- Green button on the left hand side "New Project" -> menu opens, select "Upload Project"
- Drag&Drop the .zip file provided in Moodle in the box asking you to do so.
- By default, Overleaf compiles with pdfLaTeX, thus it will probably generate a "Compile Error: Sorry,..." referring to "l.10 \RequireXeTeX" as a possible source of the compilation failure. In this case, go to "Ó Menu" (top left corner) and under "Settings->Compiler" select the "XeLaTeX" entry in the drop-down list.
- Press the green "Recompile" button in the center top of the Overleaf window. This should generate a PDF.
How to share the project with your project mate:
- There is a "Share" button in the very top line of Overleaf. Enter your fellow's email address that they uses for Overleaf and make sure the "Can Edit" option is selected.
- Now both of you can edit the group report, even at the same time from different computers.
