Description

This session will showcase various sustainability frameworks adopted by cities, including goal-oriented, domain-oriented, and hybrid frameworks. It will facilitate a critical reflection on the formulation of sustainability goals and their common lack of specificity and measurability. Students will receive policy documents from selected cities to identify and discuss the diverse characteristics of these frameworks and assess the goals' specificity, directly supporting their work in defining their city's sustainability policy landscape (relevant for Step 1).
