Description
As part of the course, students will write a beamtime proposal following the structure of a real application (see Beamtime_proposal_example_1.pdf). The topic must be selected from the list of predefined case studies. Details of the grading criteria can be found in Grading_case_studies.pdf. The deadline for submitting the written proposals is December 13.
In addition, students will give an in-class presentation, where they will introduce their selected case study and the proposed experimental techniques. These presentations will take place on the final day of the course. The written proposal and the presentation together will account for 30% of the final grade.
