Foundation models and generative AI

This week we will discuss concrete examples of foundation models in life sciences, medicine, physics and engineering!

This week we will have two guest lectures by Jean-Philippe Vert, co-founder and CEO of Bioptimus, an AI-first tech company developing foundation models to drive breakthroughs in biology and medicine, and Paris Perdikaris, professor at University of Pennsylvania working on foundation models for understanding complex physical and engineered systems. The guest lectures are streamed via Zoom, and take place as usual in PO 01.
