Foundation models and generative AI

After introducing the basic building blocks last week, we now turn to the core architectures of language and vision foundation models, building on the principles of self-supervision discussed in Week 2.

This week we will have a guest lecture by Imanol Schlag from ETH Zurich and co-lead of Apertus developed as part of the Swiss AI Initiative. It will take place in the first hour of the lecture, as usual in PO 01.
