Description

Here you will find three resources.

Elements of style by Stephen M. Griffies, William A. and Gaëlle Hull Elsevier is a short document on writing papers for publishing but I believe there are some aspects you can apply to your own texts such as Section I: Basic rules of manuscript language and Section II: Classic errors to avoid

Undergraduate’s Guide to Writing Chemistry by Binyomin Abrams, Department of Chemistry, Boston University is a pretty long document but I think there are very nice things you can take from it. It is focused on chemistry but I believe you can apply it to many fields.

Finally, WORD USAGE IN SCIENTIFIC WRITING by Sabeeha Merchant, UCLA gives a short list of words you should use and avoid when writing, it also gives some tips on grammar.

Hope this will help.
