Description

Exam instructions:

1) Please be prepared to answer questions by writing formulas/drawings on a sheet of paper that you can show then through the labtop camera. There will be no additional preparation time, so questions should be answered right away.

2) Connect to the Zoom link of the day corresponding to your exam. You will be put in a Zoom waiting room and allowed to enter as soon as the previous student finished his exam (slight delays might occur due to the tight schedule !).

3) Exam duration is approximately 15 min. You will be informed directly after the session about the result.

Questions will be on both parts of the lecture (Lehnert, Gijs). Typical topics are (but not exclusively !) :

Derive (heuristically) and explain the Navier-Stokes equation; apply it to basic fluidic concepts.

Explain the concepts of electroosmotic flow, dielectrophoresis and magnetophoresis.
