In lecture 11, we covered the following topics:
-the fiber product is not a set theoretic product, and example with affine spaces;
-notion of scheme theoretic fiber and sketch of the fact it is homeomorphic to the set theoretic fiber;
-notions of closed, generic, and geometric generic fibers with example;
-notion of general fiber over an algebraically closed field;
-example of empty fiber/empty fiber product;
-more examples of generic fiber VS geometric generic fiber;
-definition of affine and projective spaces over an arbitrary scheme.
