Guidelines and general information

General Information:

  • This exam adheres to EPFL guidelines and will be conducted in-person during the regular exam session.
  • The exam is entirely in English and consists of written questions related to the course and exercises.
  • Duration: 3 hours.
  • The exam contributes to 80% of the final grade, while the assignment counts for 20%.

Eligibility:

  • Only students adhering to the current EPFL guidelines are eligible to sit for the exam.

Writing and Presentation:

  • Answer all questions in clear, legible handwriting using blue or black ink. Write only on one side of the paper.
  • Pencils are not recommended.

Allowed Material:

  • Students can use a handwritten abstract of a maximum of 4 pages (either 2 double-sided or 4 single-sided A4 sheets).
  • While there's no restriction on the content of the summary, it must be handwritten. Abstracts not handwritten are inadmissible.
  • Note: Creating an abstract on an iPad and then printing it is acceptable, provided it is handwritten.
  • Each abstract should clearly display the date and the student's name.

Prohibited Items:

  • The use of any electronic devices, such as calculators, smartphones, or computers, is not allowed during the exam.

Grading

The total score (100%) will be transformed to a score out of 6 using the following criteria:
