Programming homeworks one of the evaluated activities in the course. They account for 10% of the grade. There will be 5 homeworks + 1 optional, the dates for hand-in are: 



Programming Homeworks FAQ

These are questions about programming homeworks that have been asked in the class or we think are relevant. Let us know if there are more questions.

What are programming homeworks? These are small practical exercises in which students will implement some of the concepts learned in the course. 

When are programming homeworks? See schedule above

How do I access programming homeworks? The homeworks will be made available in com301.epfl.ch. They are submitted on the same server. The homework must be submitted before midnight of the hand-in day in order to be graded. 

What happens if I miss the deadline? You can submit later to check the correctness of your solution, but you will not receive points. We will not extend the deadline.

Can I collaborate with others to resolve the practical homeworks? Homeworks are individual activities. If the teaching staff discovers collaboration or plagiarism there will be severe consequences for all students involved.

What programming skills do I need for the homeworks? The exercises require basic python, basic operations on the shell, and basic web-oriented programming

How are homeworks graded? Each homework will be graded on 100 points. The final homework grade will be on 500 points.
